Krishi

Three generationsof listening to the land.

What began as forty acres and a borrowed tractor is now a family of farms on three continents, still run by the same simple idea.

Rows of crops running towards wooded hills

In 1962 our grandparents bought a tired, overworked farm that nobody else wanted. They rested it, rotated it and fed it until it fed them back. Every field we have farmed since has followed the same patient recipe.

A long view of
good farming.

  1. 1962

    Forty acres

Our grandparents buy a worn-out farm on the edge of the forest.

  2. 1987

    Going organic

The whole estate converts to organic, a decade ahead of most.

  3. 2004

    The first partners

Twelve neighbouring farms join us under fixed-price contracts.

  4. 2016

    Soil lab opens

We start measuring soil biology across every field we farm.

  5. 2021

    Three continents

Partner farms in Spain, India and Canada join the network.

  6. 2026

    12,400 hectares

Our largest year yet, and our healthiest soil on record.

Three promises we
keep every season.

A young plant set into freshly turned soil

Soil comes first.

Every decision on our farms starts below ground. We keep roots in the soil all year, cut tillage to a minimum and feed the biology that feeds our crops.

Fair to the people
who grow it.

We agree prices before planting, pay on time and share what we learn. Our partner farms are partners in the full sense of the word.

Guided by evidence.

Tradition tells us where to start; data tells us whether it is working. We test, measure and publish, and change course when the numbers say so.

What people
are saying.
